Joga Futsal Academy

Would you believe it ? We are already in May , nearly half way through the year already! As always we would like to thank all of our players , parents & sponsors for they’re continued support of Joga Futsal Academy as we continue develop the sport across Glasgow & surrounding areas.

New Website

We over the past couple of months have been trying our best to have our current website updated, I had been in touch with a number of companies about re-building this for Joga but truth be told some of the costs which we had been quoted where astronomical with some even quoting over 5 THOUSAND POUNDS!

I myself decided to start to having a little mess around with it and with the help of the ever reliable Google then I found myself being able to work on it and with some kind help of other helpers we are getting to a stage where we will have a fully functioning website to be proud of, it will take a bit of time but I am sure we will get there.

If any other parents would be interested in helping out with the maintenance of the website then please contact David , All help would be greatly appreciated!

Monthly Fee’s

I am almost at a stage where we can get through a newsletter without having to include monthly fees within our Newsletter.
For the most our fee’s are not a problem. We do encourage fee’s to be paid on the 1st of each month with your child’s name as a reference.

Your fee’s cover 1 x training session per week , there may be additional costs for games.
£24 should be paid to cover the session’s for the month ahead to the following account:

Joga Futbol
Account Number: 16255082
Sort Code: 83-21-05

If this is a problem for anyone please contact David to arrange alternative method of payment.

Expansion of Joga Futsal Academy – Coaches

As we continue to build our reputation as a leading futsal academy in Scotland and now across Europe, we continue to receive emails / social media messages for the delivery of sessions in new areas. We would love to be in a position to deliver as much futsal across the country as possible but like previously as I have stated we will only expand locally and nationally if I feel we have the right quality of coach in place to deliver our futsal program to a high standard.

We again don’t expect coaches to come to us steeped in fountains of knowledge around futsal but we believe by working alongside our experienced coaches , coach education trips we have planned that we can offer a futsal program that really won’t be matched anywhere across the country. Our players & coaches have already demonstrated our understanding , knowledge and ability in the game across Europe against some of the top futsal academies in countries such as Spain , France , Italy , Japan , USA and more!

Using a futsal ball & playing indoors isn’t what Futsal is all about and it’s not what develops your child’s game . . . Understanding the game of futsal properly and playing it technically & tactically is what will bring development to your child’s game.

Our current coaches take great pride in offering a high level of futsal coaching at the moment & we will only add to the team with the same quality & enthusiasm for the sport.
We will continue to search for suitable candidates to join our coaching team , If you know of any coaches then please feel free to pass on our contact details.

Expansion of Joga Futsal Academy – Teams

From starting JFA in 2015 our aim has always been to create a pathway from children to adults to play futsal. This will allow our players always to have the opportunity to progress through the sport and ultimately represent Joga Futsal Academy at the highest possible level.
We are delighted to announce we have been in touch with the Scottish Futsal League Scotland with the aim of creating our Joga adult squad which would compete in the SFL Glasgow initially with the hopes to progress to the SFL Superleague which is competed for with teams from across the country with the winner of the league representing Scotland in the UEFA Futsal Champions League . . . Something we hope our Academy players can aspire to be part of.

At the moment there has only been contact from our end but we do feel this is exciting times. We will be sure to keep everyone updated!

WELL DONE CAPTAIN COOPS!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive well done to Cooper Knox from our 2006 squad who this week has not only been selected to represent the Great Britain AMF Futsal Squad in Barcelona but he has also been asked to CAPTAIN the squad!
Cooper had recently traveled south for two trial dates with players mainly from all futsal clubs in England , The coaches were instantly impressed with not just his ability on the court but also his attitude and understanding of the game. Cooper despite only 13 years old is a kid that we use as a role model for every other kid in the academy to aspire to be like in Futsal. His attitude towards the sport has always been of the highest level and this added with his ability as a futsal player , makes for not only a great player but also a great team mate.

Cooper has been a pivotal part of our development as an academy too , representing & captaining our squads abroad on 3 separate occasions with our most recent success in Venice where Cooper also came away with the Player of the Tournament at his age group!

Well Done Captain Coops , all at Joga are extremely proud of you!
